The role is offered casually through Spinifex Recruiting.

We are currently looking for a Business Systems Administrator to be responsible for motivating and interacting positively with staff at all levels within the organisation to gain cooperation and assistance for the successful implementation and administration of business applications.

The position also facilitates the coordination between clients and software suppliers to ensure the successful resolution of functional issues. The position is required to apply appropriate principles and techniques associated with database administration, particularly in the SQL and MS Access environments.

This is a position of integrity and personal responsibility. As this position will have access to sensitive data within all systems a high level of personal ethics and trust and maintaining confidentiality is essential.

Projects to assist with:

Technology One - Fleet System Upgrade

  • Work with Fleet System key users to map and improve the current system processes and asset register.
  • Work with Technology One and key system users to develop a work plan to upgrade the Fleet system to the latest version of CIAnywhere and to adopt the revised processes and data.
  • Develop and manage any resulting data cleansing/conversion activities
  • Identify Fleet System User training requirements and work with Technology One and Client’s HR Unit for the development and delivery of the required training.
  • Oversee the upgrade and rollout of the Fleet system.

Vehicle Telemetry System (VTS)

  • Liaise with key business areas to develop a consolidated list of VTS requirements.
  • Develop and publish RFT documents.
  • Evaluate, select and implement the VTS solution.

External Digital Signatures

  • Liaise with key business areas to develop a consolidated list of requirements for external parties to digitally sign contracts/documents.
  • Develop and publish RFT documents.
  • Evaluate, select and implement the solution including assisting business units to develop revised business processes and training

Knowledge and Competence:

  1. Degree in Information Technology, Computing Science, or related discipline, or demonstrated extensive industry experience as the primary officer responsible for administering core applications.
  2. Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the field of customer service relating to Information Technology.
  3. Demonstrated experience in the field of Information Technology with extensive knowledge of database technologies.
  4. Demonstrated knowledge and experience in providing technical advice in software applications including:
  • ability to be innovative and think strategically and laterally
  • proven delivery of innovative and creative solutions that provide positive business benefits
  • ability to analyse user requirements and participate in the development and enhancement of software applications.
  1. Demonstrated knowledge and experience in applications administration and support including:
  • ability to perform application administration tasks.
  • ability to train and provide professional advice to technical and non-technical staff.
  • ability to use standard query languages to interrogate a variety of data stores.
  • ability to perform at an advanced level.
  • ability to recognise and promote efficiency gains and business process improvements through embracing new technologies or enhancements to existing business systems.
