Our client is a leading Australian Agricultural Asset Manager with properties spaning across the eastern Australian boarders. After an exciting relocation of their head office to Wagga Wagga NSW, we are sourcing local talent to build their new regional team.

Spinifex Recruiting are sourcing an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join their newly located head office. This will be a full-time permanent role reporting to the Financial Controller and working in a high performing Finance Team. This role will require you to effectively manage the day to day responsibilities of the Accounts Payable function by completing payments and control expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices.

Core duties and responsibilities of this role include;

• Raising Purchase Orders

• Processing of supplier invoices and credit notes

• Supplier statement reconciliation

• Management of subcontractor invoices and payments

• Company credit card reconciliation and entry

• Generate payments upon request

• Ensure all invoices are received including checking off invoices to statements, locate any missing invoices, obtain authorisation for all invoices;

• Preparation of payment runs in accordance with company timeframes

• Preparing payment reports and monthly AP reconciliation

• Charge expenses to accounts and cost centres by analysing invoice/expense reports

• Accurately answer all queries in a timely and professional manner

• Assist in general administrative functions

• Support with basic tasks of Accounts Receivable Officer and Management Accountant were required

To be successful in this position you will require:

• 2-3 years’ experience in end to end Accounts Payable within a fast-paced environment

• Accurate data entry, allocation and reporting skills with a high attention to detail

• Ability to meet set deadlines with a high-quality standard of work

• Ability to confidently liaise with all levels of management in a professional and confident manner

• Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook computer skills and exposure working with database systems

• A proactive approach to all tasks undertaken within a dynamic financial environment
