Our client is a leading Australian Agricultural Asset Manager with properties spaning across the eastern Australian boarders. After an exciting relocation of their head office to Wagga Wagga NSW, we are sourcing local talent to build their new regional teams.

Spinifex Recruiting are sourcing an experienced Human Resources & Work Health and Safely Coordinator to join their newly located head office. This will be a full-time permanent role that will be required to provide a high-level of support to Management to assist with implementing HR & WHS strategies and functions.

Key Responsibilities:

Human Resources

• Assist in recruitment of employees for the MHPF Group

• Place job advertisements, conduct interviews and shortlist candidates as required

• Ensure up to date on all areas of employment legislation, policies and procedures, review current contracts

• Maintain and collate a range of HR documentation including letters of offer, contract variations, policies, procedures, organisation charts, templates and reports

• Interpreting Awards/agreements

• Support the Group to optimise resources and performance

• Advise and support managers on all issues relating to employee relations, rewards, resourcing and performance management

• Perform fortnightly payroll functions for the Group as required

• Reflect best practice in the delivery of human resources advice and solutions

Work Health & Safely

• Manage workers compensation claims, including reporting, claim management and return to work programs

• Assist farm and area managers in the development and implementation of WHS policies, programs and related activities

To be successful for this role, you will have tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent industry experience with a minimum 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role.

You will have a team-oriented approach and the ability to work collaboratively with the other departments. You will have well developed communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to interact positively with internal and external stakeholders to build and maintain relationships at all levels.

Strong time management skills will be imperative, along with the ability to think on your feet, show a high level of initiative- to plan, organise, analyse and solve problems, along with sound decision making skills with attention to detail. In short, you will be a “can do” person.
